Testimonials from NYSEPH Graduates

"The NYSEPH program gave me experiences and knowledge that have substantially enhanced both my clinical practice and my personal life. I have incorporated my understanding of trance states into EMDR work and find it substantially helps to get past roadblocks and slide around barriers that ordinary talking therapy can spend forever trying to resolve.

On a personal level, the NYSEPH program added something quite dramatic to my life. I had never thought of myself as a creative person at all, just a good linear thinker. Through the class experiences of being in trance and accessing cognitive functions in a different way, I was astonished to discover a creative capacity which had led me to a serious avocation in song writing."

"This training has deepened my effectiveness as a clinician. I highly recommend that anyone considering integrating hypnotherapy into their clinical practice enter the intensive, comprehensive program that NYSEPH has to offer. "

Lisa Kentgen, Ph.D.

Following 9/11, I felt overwhelmed by my involvement in bereavement counseling and needed a way through the tragedy for myself. A colleague had been recommending the hypnotherapy training at the New York Milton H. Erickson Society for Psychotherapy and Hypnosis (NYSEPH) for years. I finally made the decision to start the program. The creativity of hypnosis was such a surprise. It is a deep and spontaneous experience which touches the mind and the heart. After 9/11, I went to a lecture given by Bessel A. van der Kolk, M.D. who said that Milton Erickson was the most creative and effective therapist he had ever met and that he was sorry to see that the techniques of hypnotherapy are undervalued these days. This is the program which will help stimulate your creativity. Do it!

The NYSEPH course in Ericksonian Hypnotherapy has provided me with a most powerful tool in my ability to effectively communicate and instill trust and confidence with patients throughout their healing process. The use of language skills taught by the magnificent instructors will empower patients to understand and heal.

Joseph Mosquera M.D. Integrative Medicine

When doctors learn about how to enhance their communication skills- they rarely are taught about how the mind interpretes or "hears" in different ways. Training in NYSEPH has enhanced my clinical skills immensely by introducing a whole other dimension to hearing and the impact words have to heal. NYSEPH has broadened my understanding of the beautiful and intricate relationship of this MIND/BODY interface. I highly recommend this course to those who truly are interested in healing their patients!

To all of you who are not in the field of psychotherapy and wonder how the learning of hypnosis could benefit you and your patients, I would say that the NYSEPH training was one of the most beneficial skills that I added to my practice as an acupuncturist. It taught me how to direct my conversation with a patient so that it could awaken and support my patients' deep need to heal and
stay well.
